When selecting the winners for the World's Best Banks, the criteria were e.g. growth in assets, profitability, innovation in products and opinions of equity and credit rating analysts. The selections were made by the editors of Global Finance after extensive consultations with bankers, corporate financial executives and analysts throughout the world.
The results are published in the April issue of the magazine and the award ceremony will be held at the International Monetary Fund annual meeting in Singapore later this year.
