Changes to Payment Service Rules for Business Customers from 5 October 2025 | Luminor

Dear Customer,

We are writing to let you know that we’re making some changes to the Luminor Payment Service Rules from 5 October 2025. We are obligated to make the changes by the European Union‘s Instant Payments Regulation, with the aim to increase security of payments and to reduce the risk of fraud.

What’s important to know?

Verification of Payee

From 5 October 2025, we will start applying a new security feature to make sure that your payment is sent to the payee to whom it is intended.

  • Each time when you initiate a payment in euro in the internet bank and mobile bank, we will verify the beneficiary’s name and surname or company name against the provided account number. You will see the results of this check, allowing you to decide whether to proceed.
  • You will have an option to opt out of the Verification of Payee service while uploading a payment file to Luminor Bridge and the internet bank. This will allow you to save time when there are many transactions in the file. If you have opted out of the service once, you can choose the Verification of Payee option again for the next file upload.
  • When submitting a payment file via Luminor Webservice, you will opt out from the Verification of Payee service automatically. If you would like to use the Verification of Payee service, you will have to select another channel – either Luminor Bridge or the internet bank.

Instant credit transfer

From 5 October 2025, the updated Payment Service Rules will take effect. They will include information about instant credit transfers – what they are and how they work. Such transfers are processed immediately, 24 hours a day, and on any calendar day.

You can find the updated Payment Service Rules here.

Instant credit transfer limit

From 5 October 2025, your instant credit transfer limit will match your current payment transaction limit. You don’t need to take any additional action. If necessary, a user with appropriate access will be able to review and change the instant transfer limits in the internet bank or Luminor Bridge.

If you accept our changes, you don’t need to do anything, we’ll apply them from 5 October 2025.

If you don’t accept the changes, you have the right to withdraw from the service agreements affected by these changes immediately and without charge. In this case, you need notify us in writing by 4 October 2025 and fulfil the obligations of these agreements.

Thank you for being with us!
