In order to open Luminor Investor investment account, you have to be Luminor client and have bank’s account. For more information how to open account in Luminor visit here.
You can sign Luminor Investor agreement in Internet bank, choosing Saving and investment tab.

Luminor Investor pricing plans
These are the plans that charge a fixed commission fee, regardless of which European or US stock exchanges you are trading on.
Choose the plan that best suits your trading profile: Basic or Elective. Learn more here.
Starting from 1st of July, 2025, we will apply the Base plan fees to all customers.
If your average transaction amount is more than EUR or USD 5,000, the Elective plan will be a more budget‑friendly option.

Cash and securities transfers
Information could be found here.
In case of automatic transfer in the Internet bank, funds are transferred instantly.
In case of manual transfer from current account, funds are transferred:
- The same business day, if the funds are transferred till 15:00
- Next business day, if the funds are transferred after 15:00

No, unfortunatelly, this functionality is not available in Luminor Investor. You need to transfer cash to Luminor Investor in needed currency for investing.
Investing
There can be situations when your Luminor Investor account can turn in negative balance.
This could happen when:
- You have Investor platform accounts opened in multiple currencies (for example EUR and USD accounts) and you purchase securities nominated in USD, but you do not have sufficient cash balance in USD account, but at the same time EUR balance is sufficient to cover respective purchase. Then that USD account will go into negative balance. If you want to cover the negative balance you can transfer additional cash to account with negative balance or to transfer money out from account with positive balance and then transfer in to the account with negative balance. Instructions on how to make money transactions can be found here.
- You withdrawal money before settlement date. Remember, after selling position trade settlements always take some time (usually 2-3 working days), to avoid additional commission you can check settlement date in Luminor Investor section Orders.

Yes, you can. But it is important to note, that when investing into instruments quoted in different currencies, currency conversion is made with 0.5% margin.
Yes, it is possible to subscribe for addition service of having real time market data under section “Subscriptions”. It is subject to additional fees disclosed in Luminor Investor.
LEI code is obligatory for corporate clients. Private individuals do not require LEI code.
To open an additional account in another currency (USD/GBP/NOK/SEK/DKK), submit an application by logging into the Internet Bank. In the Applications section, select the document group Saving and Investment Documents and fill the Application form for Non-standard request related to investments.

No. Instead, the insurance of liabilities to investors’ scheme is applicable to the funds held on Luminor Investor platform. The maximum compensation of the insurance of liabilities to investors is EUR 20,000.
Ensure that there is no cash, assets, pending payments or subscriptions in your Luminor Investor account, and provide a free form letter via Internet bank, or in a branch to close your Luminor Investor account.
